About Conedera

Conedera Counseling and Coaching is focused on helping clients make tangible and sustainable changes in their lives.

I believe that the true value of therapy is realized when you’re able to weave practices into your everyday life. I will work with you to:

  • Develop personalized coping tools you can use at work, at home, or in social situations.

  • Practice mindfulness and grounding techniques to manage anxiety and stress throughout your day.

  • Set achievable goals and track progress between sessions, celebrating small victories and learning from setbacks.

  • Use journaling and visual reminders to reinforce new skills and insights outside the therapy room.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies, which are scientifically validated methods proven to help people feel better faster and achieve lasting change. I draw from the following modalities:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - to help you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and build resilience in the face of stressors

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) - to help you navigate intense emotions (i.e. anxiety, depression, cravings, despair) or relationship challenges

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) - to support you in improving emotional regulation and deepening connections with others

I offer an open, safe, and supportive environment for my clients, and I work collaboratively with you to help you integrate new skills and insights into your daily life.

Counseling vs. Coaching

You might be asking yourself, “Do I need counseling or do I need coaching?”

  • If you feel a lack of stability, or if you’re tackling a mental health problem (like anxiety, depression, grief, or compulsive behaviors, just to name a few), and you need help getting back on stable ground - this is an opportunity for counseling.

  • If you’re already in a stable place, but you’re just not sure of which direction to go - in other words, if you’re surviving but not thriving - this is an opportunity for coaching. You may want to make marked improvement in an area of your life (“I want to be an even better mother, father, partner, or boss” or “I want to be more satisfied in my career”), and I can help you achieve these goals.

It’s all about meeting you wherever you are. I’ll be on your side, supporting you, validating you, and (when appropriate) pushing you - it’s just about identifying your starting point.
